commercially prepared chicken broth contains high amounts of sodium and other preservatives that arent good for cats. Check the label for ingredients.

Is this the only food you feed your cats?

There are sodium free chicken broths available in most stores (the local grocery carries them, it's not necessary to go to health food stores.)

Please don't eliminate cat food. The meat-only diet will make your cats very ill; there are nutrients in cat food that are not available in people food. Use the soup only as an occasional treat and they should be all right.

Also check the labels to be sure there is no garlic and no onion powder or onions. When I boiled chicken for mine, I just boiled it in plain water. They seemed to like it just as well.
