What a beautiful story! What does his name mean?

Edit: Due to a lack of coffee when I read the story, I realize the kitty is named after the town.

That picture is... I don't know how to describe. Beautiful and kind of ironic?

What a lucky little kitten.

I believe when they said "come out of a house" that perhaps the town has been evacuated and the house was abandoned. That was my first thought too. They should have made it more clear...

Very few people and their little furry friends will ever be able to share the memories that those two will have. I have always believed that cats pick their people, and that little kitten came out of hiding when he saw his ride coming
