I've never used it for any of my kitties, but I really like the name Sheba.

Burakku.....japanese for black. I met a black oriental shorthair with that name once upon a time

I once read a story I think maybe in cat Fancy not sure...But a woman went in a shelter and there was a black cat named Jellybean and she NEVER liked black cats because of the superstition that surrounds them. But because of the name Jellybean she gave him a chance and said all shelters should name Black cats Jellybean!!!

One of my black cats is named Bubba. I think they were calling him Tyson before I adopted him. The only other black kitty I had whose name actually had anything to do with being black was Cinder.

My current black kitty is Loki - that's the Scandinavian god of mischief! I've also had black kitties named Whiskers and Pandora! Salem and Cinder are good names for black cats too! How about Midnight Louie?
