When they come up, they are only long blades of grass........about 8-12 inches long.Then about a month after that comes up, it dies down............so there is nothing showing.About a month after that, all of a sudden these BEAUTIFUL flowers shoot up from the ground, with no leaves at all.Hence the name Naked Lady or Resurecting Lilly.

LOL, I thought of the rock group: Bare Naked Ladies. I thought maybe you had gone to one of their concerts and taken souvenir pictures...!! Pretty flower, though!
