That story reminds me of something that happened when my fiance and I were living in Baltimore. We were driving along and I notice a huge green spider dropping down from the ceiling in the middle part of the car (right between our seats). We happened to be stopped at a stop light when I noticed it and I literally jumped out of the car
It was instinct! Luckily, my fiance killed the spider quickly and I was able to get back in before the light changed

Oh no!!! Remember that episode of Brady Bunch where they were in Hawaii and the spider was on Peter's chest while he was laying in bed??? I would have died!!!

You poor thing...

That reminds me of a situation that happened a few months ago. I was leaving for work, had the door on the side of our house open and was reaching for the screen door when a spider dropped down from the doorframe and onto me.
So I did the only thing I could do...started screaming and dancing around my kitchen while taking off clothes and searching for the spider. I was down to my bra and slacks when I found him and squished him. I got redressed and headed off to work. When I left the house (after a thorough search for doorway spiders), I found my next door neighbor standing in his yard totally cracking up.

Poor thing, i bet everyone got a good laugh at you. If it's any consilation, i do the same thing around spiders- i have two horrible brown recluse scars so i have reason to freak out around spiders. One time i was home by myself (i live in a duplex) and i saw a huge- and i mean huge spider near the the back door in the kitchen- i went balistic!!! I was screaming and trying to spray it with windex, Shout (our washer is in the kitchen)...you name it...i was screaming and throwing things at it. Apparently i was so loud my neighbors thought something was wrong so they knocked on the door and came to check on me.
My neighbors are from Mexico, so it was really funny when my neighbors husband goes in the kitchen, squishes the spider and tells me in spanish " Next time, just step on the *******

Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! Spiders! I think I got my phobia from my mother. I can remember very cleary, going "camping" when I was younger. Okay, so we had a cabin. But I recall my mother climbing the cabinets to get away from a spider (tarantula) that made it's way indoors.

Not that I'm any better. You should have seen me freak out when the spider at work decided to employ his amazing webstring magic and try to land on the tip of my nose. Ummm, no. Thanks mom.
