I want to lose 30-40 pounds. I am not motivated to lose weight though. I started to before, but healthy foods aren't the best to snack on. I will start dieting for sure in January when I go to college because I won't have the money to buy lots of snacks. I may have lost a little bit of weight since 90% of the food I eat is Subway and I eat it while I am working so I am moving around all the time.

Hi my name is Tina and I would like to lose 10 pounds. I do cardio 5 times a week and I lift light weights 3 times a week. I use my swiss ball 4 times a week, to work on my abs.

Hi! I'm Tari. I've lost 70 lbs in the last year and want to lose another 40 or so. I've been doing Weight Watchers and taking Jazzercise classes three mornings a week. The hardest thing for me is getting my butt out of bed at 5:45 in the morning to go to the classes!

ooh! me too! My name is Jessie and i want to lose30-40 lbs.to get down to what is considered "normal" for my height.

i'm in colorguard so that is alot of excercize every day (8 hours/ day 2 weeks ago and 5 hours/day the last 2 weeks) and i have pretty much sweated my butt off. i've lost 12 lbs so far. i'm still not where i want to be though. i have alot of muscle so its easy for me to workout (sometimes) i just have to get the motivation. i didnt drink one soda in 3 weeks and i didnt lose any weight but i did notice that my legs and thighs and waist shrank a bit. so we all need to dump out that "fat juice"!

i am pre diabetic and if i dont get my weight down i might become diabetic so it is important to me. ( i didnt even think i weighed that much!

I'm Nikki. I went from a 00- to a 10 in less than a few months when my docs put my through a ton of tests and heart meds. I'm off the heart meds now, but still taking steroids for my lungs. I'm having a hard time loosing weight because i'm having a ton- and i mean a ton of stomach issues at the moment. I started a thread about it. http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96131
Up until this past week, my doctors wouldn't allow me to exercise any at all while they were doing tests on me. It's frusterating because i gained sooo much weight in only a few months between the different meds and wasn't allowed to work out at the time. I used to be a real exercise freak (track, x-country, dance, soccer, color guard, cheerleading..you name it, i did it). Even when i graduated high school i still stuck to my exercise routines at college and ate healthy(seemingly healthy). I haven't drank soft drinks in over 8yrs...i quit when i was younger for track. I do drink tea occassionally, and as far as food goes- right now i'm trying to find stuff that doesn't make me sick (newly diagnosed as lactose intolerant w/ a glutin allergy..plus some other stomach issues). Well, now that i've been given the ok to go back to the gym, i'm finding it hard to get back in a routine. I know everything i need to do- i was addicted to the gym for years lol....but it's just a matter of getting up and going- i feel sooo fat at the moment... I guess what i'm going to do is just get up tomorrow and go to the gym. I will make myself go, because motivation comes later on when you're in a routine and feeling the benifits of your workouts. I'll put it this way- i went from a double 0 to a 10 in a matter of not even 6 months from all the meds....so i have a wee bit of weight to loose
. I'm really glad you created this thread. It's nice to have support and know i'm not the only one. Ya'll please "make" me go to the gym tomorrow. I'm going to make myself because i want to loose weight, but i also really need some support right now.

I've been on South Beach Diet for the last 3 months and have lost 44 lbs so far. I've also been swimming, walking more and just trying to be more active. I have a lot more weight to loose and it's slowed down recently so I'm just trying to stay positive and keep on track. I also take fiber tabs and use a bit of wheat bran in yogurt and cereal kinds of things. I love South Beach because it is so easy. No calorie counting, no portion control and no eliminating fat totally from the diet. The big thing has been getting all the sugar out of my diet. But I feel better, have more energy, am sleeping better and have gone off 2 heart meds and a blood pressure med (with Doctors approval, of course).

Wow, everyone has done so awesome!
I wish I had the willpower of you all. Why can't I get motivated to do this, I feel aweful and don't know what to do. Brent and I are going to Jamaica in February and I want to look good. I've started walking on the treadmill and doing other exercising but I just can't control my eating very well. Could someone please give me some tips on how to do that?

Here... or There... Hmmm
My name is Jill and I need to lose a lot of weight. So far I've lost 5lbs. And am noticing my clothes fitting differently. Me and my neighbor started about thee weeks ago. We are doing a curves diet which is 1200 cal, 135 net carbs, 90 protiens, and 35 fats. We walk 5 days a week and are up to 2.2 miles now! Every wednesday we kick up our walk by doing this really really big hill, I'll have to take a pic from the top it is so beautiful.(It over looks the big lake) AND STEEP! Every monday we weigh ourselves. The first week I didn't lose any weight but the next week I lost 3 pounds. Every two months we take a picture so we can see if we look different (still 4+ weeks to go for that!) So that is my weightloss regimine.

Thanks
Jill

So, who worked out today?

In the morning I did 45 minutes on the treadmill (running), and at night I worked on my abs.

lbs is a common measurment for weight in the US- it stands for pounds. It's similar to killigrams in your country.
1kg = 2.205 lbs
