Hi,
My husband and I started out with four cats and through different rescues we now have guardianship of 27 beautiful kitties and 6 dogs and 1 parrot.
We are a multipet family.
We have been rescuing pets for many years now. We got our newest member last friday. A 12 week old siamese was found in a busy shopping center. He is our newest baby. Our oldest cat is 14. We have a lot of medically needy cats. Our oldestImp, was diagnosed diabetic 3 years ago and is now in kidney failure. One of our other kitties, Itsy, is fighting cancer.
Tiger has seizures (controlled with medication). Jitterbug as found when she was 8 months old. She has a spinal injury that gives her a permanent head tilt. She only weighed 4.2 lbs when we found her. When we had her 6 weeks she blessed us with 4 babies. Three of them, Casper, Nosey, Pipsqueak are solid white with odd eyes. Pippi is deaf. We have another deaf cat, Frankie.
We keep all our pets indoors and all are spayed or neutered. We have many siblings and families. We do a "kitty count" every night to make sure everyone is accounted for.
Tabby was at the shelter for over a year and was adopted once, but, the people brought her back the next day saying she wasn't what they were looking for.
I enjoy reading about everyones beautiful kitties and look forward to sharing about ours. Will post pictures as soon as I figure out how.

Welcome to the Cat Site. I'm another newcomer, only having joined yesterday after hanging out reading posts for a while.

What an amazing kitty family you have! It's wonderful that you are able to care for all those special needs kitties. They must feel very loved. And Tabby- to be adopted and then rejected. But now she has a secure home with you.

I know what you mean about "kitty count". I do that too and I only have seven all of whom are totally inside cats. Sometimes they hide though and I want to be sure of where they are before I go to bed.

I just learned how to post pics today so I'll give a short briefing. You need to go to photobucket.com and complete the free registration. Then you can upload your pics to the site. That prodedure is fairly obvious. You may need to resize the pics so they won't be too large for the forum posts. I resized to 600 x 400. Once you upload the pics you'll see three entries under each pic "Url", "Tag" and "Img". Copy and paste the "Img" entry into your post. Be sure you get the entire entry including "" at the beginning and end. When you copy and paste you'll see the wording of the "IMG" entry not the pic itself. If you click on preview you'll see how the post will look with the pics.

If you don't want to do multiple copy and paste operations in photobucket you can select the pics you want to post by clicking select all or placing a check mark in the selection box under the ones you want to post. Then click on the "Generate HTML and IMG code" box at the bottom of the page. You'll be taken to a page with five boxes of image code. You want the one that says "IMG images for message boards". Select all the code in that box, copy and paste it into your post and your pics should show up when you click on preview. Worked for me! Let me know if this works or if you have problems.

Hope to see you around the forums.[img]https://statich.thecatsite.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Welcome to the site
We are so glad to have you here with us!
You are such a wonderful person to provide such a loving home for those babies. I love that you keep them inside and do a head count before bed. It sounds like they are very well taken care of!
