Of all the jellicles, the very first to venture out into the new enclosure and explore was none other than.....timid little Sassy Sasparilla. I opened the window in their room to the enclosure, and by the time I'd walked to the back door and around to the side, she was already outside and checking things out

I'm a little concerned that the openings in the panels might be large enough for a determined kitty to squeeze through, so for right now, they are only there with supervison. Tonight, I'm "zip tying" a fine wire mesh inside the fencing panels. That should keep kitties in, and predators out.

Will they be allowed in the outdoor enclosure overnight? Are there any predators around that could dig under the fence? That would be my one big fear!

It looks awesome though!

I read that if the cat's head can squeeze through an opening, so will the rest of the body.
