Well my boys went to the vet to be fixed August 14th (There 5 months, 2 weeks now). Since they got home that night, Storm has been hissing at them has swated at them a few times and growls at them, but shes also licked them a little bit. Not just at the boys, but at Midnight as well, and she hasnt been fixed yet. I dont no what to do with her. Would washing the males, and maybe Midnight help stop her from doing that? and when could I bath them?

And pictures cuz I couldnt resist, if they dont work, please tell me, and I'll give a different link to them

Heres pictures of the kittens, getting all grown up *tear* showing off there collars and tags:

When they go to the vet, it changes their smell and kind of "off balances" everyone. I would not bathe them right now.(since they were just neutered) I woud just rub a towel on the cats who stayed home onto the cats who went to the vet so they will smell more familiar. Sometimes its best to separate them if its too hostile. For me, I always found that after I did the towel thing, I would then engage them all playing with a string and after a bit everything was fine. But since your boys were just neutered it may be too much activity for them. But it will pass soon when they get their "smells" back.

By the way they sure are cute !!!

Anytime a cat comes back from overnite in the vets (or surgery) the others will not recognize them. Do not wash them just out of surgery. In a day or two things will be normal. Just let them alone.

I agree with the other posts. Also wanted to warn you that if Midnight is 5-1/2 months old, she is very close to being able to get pregnant. And the boys will be fertile for another month, so you must keep them separated.

You could try vanilla under everyone's chin, so they all smell alike!

Thanks for replying. I wasnt going to wash them right away, just wanted to no when was safer to. I just dont understand why shes hissing at Midnight since she didnt get spayed. I'll try rubbing a towle on Storm then the kittens. How much vanilla would I use, just a drop? And will it wont hurt them if they lick it off each other? And after they get there smells back, she'll stop hissing/attacting them?...Midnight is getting spayed soon as well as Storm and Mischief. They should be going in Sept, Oct the latest.

And thanks
They are cute *grins*. The only one that was missing was Shadow, my mom gave him to the people next door, though I wish it was to someone else, cuz they like to rub it in my face on "how much more he likes them" and dont usually let me see him

Just a drop of vanilla under their chin, if I remember right. It is a food, so it should be harmless.

And they are just adorable! Sorry about the neighbors not letting you see Storm...how rude!

Re: vanilla - just put a drop on your finger and rub it under/on their noses - they will lick it but it will mask the odors for a short time.

I was going to mention this too. If the boys were just neutered then they could possibly still get the females pregnant for about the next 3-4 weeks.
