I have a pot of plaque off that was used once when we tried the Hills allergy canned food. it didn't go over so well so i can't use it anymore. i would be happy to send it to you! otherwise it's going back up to my work for the visiting cats.

Jaffa is so like Tibby!
Tibby pretty much refuses to eat anything that is actually good for him!
Even the others love their Whiskas!

I'm now going to give Almo Natural a try - even if it is mixed in!

I also feed James Wellbeloved for dry and they get Hills Oral as play toys and treats - as Tibby swallows the things anyway!
I'm going to be trying Plaque Off too, even though they have their teeth brushed daily!

They do also get fresh cooked meat and raw meet regularly too which they love!

I might try those kibbles once this bag is finished, but are they bigger and harder than the normal sized kibbles?

I use the Logic toothpaste as well because Sarah(sar) got me onto it.

yeh - james wellbeloved are quite small kibbles. Jaffa swallows everything whole anyway though (inc hills t/d)
I switched them from iams dry to james wellbeloved several years ago when Magpie had a skin problem that the vet couldn't identify (so we assumed it might be a food allergy) and both did really well on it - lovely shiny coats and no skin problems! I've only recently increased the proportion of wet food in Jaffa's diet after realising how important wet food is. As Jaffa's 9 now and had a high level of something in his blood (kidney function) when he had blood tests before his dental, I'm very concerned about getting water into him.

Should they not be bigger kibbles though for their teeth?. It's just that my vet said the bigger and harder the kibble the more they have to chew making it better for the tartar?.

Well, James Wellbeloved aren't dental biscuits. They are just general healthy dry food.

Yes, the idea of dental biscuits is so that they are larger and make them chew, but I've found that it made very little difference - especially as Tibby swallows the things whole!

What I have done in the past is to mix some JWB with the Hills Oral. As I say though, I now only use the Hills as a play treat now.

What is the name of the food? What kind of packet is it in? I might give my four a treat this weekend!

I can see the M&S are going to have a bit of a run on their cat food! Better be quick, Sar, before I buy up all the manchester stock to add to the huge stockpile of cat food I already have!

*phones M&S to inform them not to sell them to you!*
Thay're not going to know whaat's hit them!

I'm sure we all probably have more cat food in the house than human food!

I understand now, I hope my four will like it - although I expect Tibby's fish aversion will come to a head again!

I don't have my kitten yet, but this forum has been a blessing and a great source for information. I have bought a bag of James Wellbeloved dry kitten food, and had already bought whiskas kitten wet food. I am hopefully going to change the wet food but will see how I go with my kitten - hopefully he/she wont be a fussy eater!!!

Both felix and whiskas do free kitten packs which include pouches of food, a toy and some info. I got given the whiskas one from my vet (and also got one from the breeder's vet) but requested a felix one online. I fed Mosi the whiskas but it made him fart a lot so no more whiskas for him!
felix have recently sent me an update booklet and a voucher for £1 off any box of felix pouches as a result.

Incidentally - if anyone feeds, or is interested in feeding, natures menu pouches - I don't know if everyone knows about the special offer in pets at home (it's not marked up in my store). You can buy packs of 4 boxes (total 48 pouches) for £15.99, but you can get 2 of them for £19.99 - the offer doesn't come up until you put them through the till. It works out at about 20p a pouch which is really good for premium wet food. It's only on the adult though, not the kitten variety.

At the moment I feed my kittens chicken & fish but i'm slowly putting them onto whiskas kitten wet food.
My older cats like whiskas, felix & hi life but they also get fed alot of fresh fish & meat - they get really spoilt.

These two eat better than me sometimes

I have been ordering samples of food over the past few weeks, Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved and Hills have sent me dry food samples. I am waiting on wet food samples from whiskas and felix!

I am thinking of buying some hi life or natures menu wet kitten food. Could I combine this with the whiskas kitten, in order to use up the pouches I have bought already?
