over weight. He & Maggie had their check-ups & shots last night. He weighs 13 lbs (he was 11.8 last year
) Maggie at 8.7 Lbs (she's no longer a baby
) is at the top of her ideal weight. The main issue is that my Jordan wakes Mom (that's me) every morning at 3 AM & won't stop being sassy until I stumble out of bed & feed them 1/8 cup extra of dry food. The vet had a good suggestion & that was to give them each a spoon full of wet food instead. She said it's got a less calories. I feed Nutro Natural Weight management dry food, which the vet said was fine. So I'm wondering about good wet foods. I have several differnt kinds, but is SD wet food OK? Also, anyone else have any suggestions for how to reduce calories with out starving them to the point that they kill me while I'm sleeping?

SD wet food isn't the best. Check the ingredients and check on the % protein in the food. I feed Eagle Pack wet, natural balance wet or merrick's. As far as keeping them from killing you over night. Feed them there last meal of wet (i feed 1/2 morning, 1/2 night) right before you go to bed. They should be able to sustain themselve just fine till morning. It could be your kitty realizes that if he complains enough he gets a treat (i.e. you getting up and feeding him), maybe figure out a way to ignore him, put him in another room etc...until he figures out feeding time is at a regular hour (it took me some time to train my rambo aka kitty vaccuum cleaner!)
