Very bizarre behaviour last night re:peeing!!!

my almost one yr old cat sleeps in our bed every night right by my husbands feet. last night seemed to be no diff. i noticed though that it appeared she really was trying to get comfy and kept walking around his legs to try and find a spot to cozy up too however she wasnt doing that at all!!! i go to roll over and she just finished a big pee!!! right on top of him, on our blanket she decided thats where she was going to do it!!! now other than the usual suspect of a uti which i dont think it is, and will go get checked out, i wonder what made her do something so out of character! i mean she always uses her litter box and one would think she would try and hide it if she were doing it not on my husbands stomach and legs lol!!! so a few things. She is female obviously, i did start to use a new litter but that was like 6 weeks ago and she didnt have any probs with it, last night when she did it i immed. picked her up and took her to her box and she behaved so petrified of it! for no reason. so i cleaned the litter also. it was like she was trying to tell my hubby something i dont know ive never had this happen before!!

I'm sure that was quite the rude awakening for your husband!

I am leaning towards UTI, I would think that if it were a protest to the new litter she would have done it when you first changed it.

so far so good she seems to have only done it once last night so we will see how tonight goes...
