Old pictures of purebreed cats?

Hi

Do any of you know where I can find (on the internet) pictures of purebreed cats that are old. That is pictures of purebreed cats, like siamese and persian that show cats that were bred 20-50 years ago or older.

It's the website of the GCCF (the governing council of the cat fancy in the UK) and is their supreme show site, click on past winners and you will see grand champions going back to the late 70s. Hope this helps!

Not sure if the cattery has a web site, but I do remember an article on Singa Siamese in a CFA yearbook that had pictures of the Singa cats from 1950's and 1960's. You might be able to find something on that cattery.

Also, if you look up the history of the Cornish Rex, I'm sure you could find early pictures - Kallibunker is the foundation rex (born in 1950).

I don't know of any site that collects old pictures of purebreds, but you can see the very first Devon Rex here:

Also, if you browse around that site, there are a few pictures of more modern cats as well, one I found was from the late 1960's.

Awww...Prince Souti looks SO like our Siamese, Thor. What a "Thor"oughly cool cat he was, too!
