Chessy has been limping on one of his front paws, so I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow. I tried to look at it, which he wasn't happy with, but I don't think he has stepped on anything. Could he have sprained something? If so, will the vet just wrap it up? He will still walk on it. I've never had this happen before.

It's possible he sprained it. He could also have a tiny cut or puncture wound. My Alex was the biggest baby when he was injured. He wouldn't let us touch his entire back half of his body. When we took him to the vet, we found he had a teeny tiny puncture wound next to his behind. If it's a sprain, the vet may wrap it, or may tell you to keep him calm (as in not jumping). If there is a wound, they will probably clean it out and prescribe antibiotics to prevent infection. Either way, they may offer a pain killer, or they may not. It'll probably depend on Chessy's level of pain.
