So, as promised.

Actually I did take a pic of last night, but it seemed like the thread might have succumbed to whatever threads succumb to eventually, so I didn't post. But since there does seem to be interest, here are the smokies, with fried up garlic mash and Caesar Salad...

...and for tonight, I really was headed for an egg meal, probably omelettes, and went to top up the salad fixin's -- and there were the avocados, gorgeous and ready to eat -- what are you gonna do when that happens, but buy the darned things and eat 'em?
So we had avocado, stuffed with tuna salad, on a bed of designer greens dressed with raspberry/walnut vinaigrette, garnished with roasted garlic and Moroccan Olives...

Oh boy, Susan is right Fran! That looks yummy....................as always.

Well, this is my crockpot creation. I threw it all in there last night as a last minute thing before we went to bed.........it's a pork loin marinated in garlic and wine............I sliced up some potatoes and carrots and threw them in with it................we'll have it tonight for dinner...........

Am I the only one that is afraid to leave my crockpot on during the day when I'm not home?

That does look yummy, Sooz!

The Boy has ordered veal for tonight. He really likes the Veal Tarragon that I put in the Fundraiser thread, so I may do that.

Nope... after Boomer decided helping himself was a good idea one day (thankfully I was at home) mine only gets turned on if I am home, poor kittie had a burnt nose from the steam but was fine other than that (and helped himself to the food even though the steam was burning him
)

I have a confession to make!.

I'm moving to a new house in the next few weeks, so i'm running my freezer contents down, so that master piece is a Weight Watchers creation with my own peas and sweetcorn though

Well, Susan, I'll still drool over it, because it looks yummy. And these days, it is not a foregone conclusion that convenience food is poor quality. Some of it is pretty good, and well worth the convenience. Nowadays, when you use a convenience food, your cooking skills get a night off, and your label reading skills cover for them. It may not be quite as good as "from scratch", but it can be pretty tasty.

That's very true! Convenience foods can be doctored up so that no one would ever know the difference!

Amazing what the judicious addition of a little subtle seasoning will do.

No, you see, that's a GOOD thing, because it means I can just go buy it!
