Oh, God, yes! Although in Canada, they weren't S & H green stamps - they were Loblaws and I remember my mother collecting them!

Actually, wasn't it Brady Bunch and a pick between a sewing machine and a boat or something? I'm really dating myself, aren't I?

Your right! The boys wanted a rowboat, and the girls wanted the sewing machine........seems to me they ended up getting a TV that the whole family could use...............or a stereo???

I have not seen those stamps for years Susie.

Back in "the old days" when I was raising my children,
we saved the stamps.
When we had enough full books to get the item we wanted...
we would pile into our car and be off the the Green Stamp store.
It was quite an event.

We had those but they was called quality stamps I thought and I thought they was kind of a slate blue. But we used to save them and order stuff all the time.

In a state of insanity :)
Yeah I remember them! Mom and Dad got them with groceries and then we got to put them in the books. Yeap it was a big deal to go to the green stamp store and look at all the wonderous stuff. Then to be able to get something with the stamps. WOW!

Movin' on up!
Here, it was Gold Bond stamps and in Southern California, Blue Chip stamps.

My parents and grandparents got them at the gas station and grocery store.
