Back/Rib Cage Pain

I hope someone out there can help me. I have been having pain in the left side of my back by the rib cage. I don't know which doctor to see about this, chiropractor, nuerologist, orthopedist or something else. It gets me up in the middle of the night sometimes it hurts so much. Has anyone out there ever had this kind of pain before and if so what did you do about it?

Well I know kidney stone pain starts in your back not sure how high up though, it can feel any where from the worst pain you ever had in your life to a steady dull pain that comes and goes like labor pain..I hope it's not a kidney stone uggghhhh, there the worst!!

Definitely start with your regular primary care physician, and they'll send you to a specialist if they feel it is necessary.
