My mom called the Vet that i really like cuz he seems so smart and professional about everything and she asked him about Kitty not having all of her placentas and he said that as long as she was eating fine then she is fine... i thought that she could get an infection if she didnt have all the placentas.... should i call another vet? i am so confused!!!

I don't think it would hurt to call another vet.

I thought that each placenta came with each kitten. When Sheba had her babies each of them came with a placenta, she ate it, and that was that??? There was nothing else afterward.

No they don't always come with the kit. Meeka delivered 2 kittens and then 2 placentas...I think. Honestly I did not see all the placentas. She never seemed to actually push them out. She would just eat them as she cleaned herself without really pushing them. I only ever saw one. Its hard to count when they eat them as they deliver them. Its kind of gross but some deliver that way. Placentas wouldn't show up on an xray so I think teh only way to know is through an ultrasound?

Oooh I see. Seh did the same, she ate them as she had them so you really couldn't keep count. But Jessie I'd wager that she really is just fine. You probably just didn't see it. I wouldn't worry too much

It's been a couple of days now hasn't it? I think you probably just didn't see it, and she is probably fine. It can't hurt to call another vet though... if the cat seems lethargic, not eating, in pain, or feverish then I'd definitely run her to the vet.

It's okay Jessie as I am going through the same thing myself at the moment.
I am also worried that Furball might not have passed all her placentas as I only saw her pass and eat one of them and she had 6 babies.
If your mom looks relaxed, is cool to the touch and is eating, drinking, and using her litterbox okay then I think she is fine. That is what Furball is doing as she walks around. She is a little stiff when she walks but I think that is simply from giving birth.
I did notice when she was in the 2-day process of having the kittens she felt warmer then usual when I stroked her. Now she feels much cooler. She is also purring but it is not as strong as the purring while she was having them.
Just her normal purr.
Is your Kitty doing similiar things?

PS> You are NOT paranoid for caring.

i dont know. Kitty is just realxed and content and she purrs everynow and then and she is a tiny cat and you can see if she gains any weight at all and it looks like she still has a bump on her sides.
