Does your kitty like to snuggle with you under the covers at night.
We've finally allowed Topanga to sleep in the bed with us. She's at 5 months and is very good at getting up to use her litter box if she needs to.
She usually starts out sleeping between hubby and I, but at some point she comes over and paws at the covers to get underneath. She usually snuggles tight against my belly or chest.
I've never had a cat that liked to sleep under the covers.

Both of ours do at times. We never let them in the middle because we don't want them to get squished. I like them near the edge too so I know there is enough air circulation.

They snuggle so different. Oliver will curl up and snuggle next my tummy.
Tripod lies lengthwise against me.

I love it!

Mosi does that. He starts off sleeping on the floor under the bed (maybe due to the warm weather) and crawls under the duvet to cuddle up to me during the night. Unfortunately he tends to wake me up doing so, but I'm hopefull he'll get the hang of doing it without disturbing me soon!

I have a waterbed so my cats don't tend to sleep under the covers too often. Lately Abby will come into bed with me and climb under the comforter between it and the top sheet, but only for about 10 minutes and then she's gone. She goes off and does whatever.

Years ago I had a cat that loved to sleep under the covers by my feet.

The best I can figure is that cats like warmth and the blankets trap the heat so they feel extra toasty.

You reminded me of something funny. My ex husband and I had a waterbed. Oliver punctured it ONCE in 3 years. When we divorced, my ex missed Oliver and adopted another cat, Captian Kitty. Well, CK ripped the waterbed all the way around the edge! Poor ex...

When I moved into my current apartment with two cats and no furniture (except one scratching post), my cats were horrified by the lack of places to hide. Athena climbed under my tented legs draped with sheets while I was leaning up against a wall, reading, and then started climbing under every sheet, blanket, and bit of clothing that she could. It was scary for a while, every time my husband or I sat down we were worried that we were going to squish a cat. Athena has moderated her climbing under sheets since I got some furntiture, but she still does it sometimes (especially when I'm making the bed).

If I make a 'tent' with my legs and drape the duvet or sheet over Villy loves to go under the duvet, but she won't stay there for too long.

You reminded me of a time when my s.o. and I were living with my sister. My s.o. and I were having a lay in one morning and my big sis came in to talk to us. My sis saw some 'movement' under the covers and thought maybe she should look away, except the movement (Villy) moved all the way to the top and popped her head out and meowed!
