Hi, my cat Reeses just gave birth to kittens and they are about 3 weeks old now. They live in the bottom of the dresser where the drawer is supposed to be, and I really need to vacuum. Will it hurt their ears? Should I just move them out of the room or will they be fine where they are? Please let me know! Thanks!

I run the vaccumn and whatever else is normal household noises from the time the kittens are born. Sure they are scared at first and will run and hide under something, but that way they get used to noises. Most times I kinda warn the general animal population with "I"m getting the vaccumn out, so if you want to leave, better leave now (the room)". Sometimes they take off to another room, sometimes stay on something off the floor - like the cat tree or sofa.

As long as the kittens can't get themselves caught under something, let them get used to the vaccumn.
