Today I was flipping through some channels and National Lampoon's Vacation came on. This is one of those movies that I just have to stop and watch whenever I come across it. It reminds me of Saturday afternoons when I was a kid, my brothers and I would walk down to the local video store and rent a movie. Vacation was one that was in heavy rotation.

Another one like this is Shawshank Redemption. I can practically quote the whole movie, but I still get a little weepy at the end when Red is walking towards Andy and he realizes that he can now feel hope for one of the first times in his life.

Anyone else have movies like this?

Ooh, I haven't seen National Lampoon's Vacation in forever! I really like that movie. Maybe I should see about renting it.

The Great Race is my all time favorite. If I were only allowed to watch one movie for as long as I live, this would be it.

But... it never comes on tv... so if we're going by only movies that I catch on TV and have to watch then it's Real Genius ("Welcome to Pacific Tech's Smart People on Ice!"
), Clue and French Kiss.

What about Midnight Maddness? That was one of the best B movies of all time!

I love the movie "Dogma." It is hilarious. I also like "Joe Dirt."
During the summer, I like to watch the old Frankie and Annette beach movie marathons. Mystery Science Theater 3000 used to have some of the best old cheesy movies. I saw Ann Margaret's first movie, "Kitten With A Whip" on there. It was great! "Chopper Chicks From Zombie Town" was one of the best cheesy horror movies I have ever seen.

I can pretty much quote all the lines in Pretty Woman can't turn the channel if it is on or Ferris Buellers Day off or the Godfather 1 & 2 movies. Oh and About last night with Demi Moore and Rob Lowe...GREAT lines in that movie!

I can watch The Wedding Singer, The Princess Bride, and The Emporer's New Groove indefinately.
Also I adore 50's science fiction and really bad horror flicks.
