1) please share the story of the whole "gnome" thing. I've been here since Dec 1st, but wasn't really following the Holiday threads at that time.
2) I want to sign up, but you guys all seem to know each other so well and I'm worried I won't have any idea what to get (even with hints). Is it hard?

Nope! It's not hard at all! You do get hints, but you can even send items that you like and think your recipient might like, too. I remember one said they didn't know they needed the items they were given, but used them and loved them!Originally Posted by lisasha3

As for the gnomes - it's all Karen's fault! She had to ask Danielle if she liked gnomes.
(I'm just the one that kept bringing it up and keeping it going.

And Danielle brought it on herself, sorta - she VEHEMENTLY told us how much she hated gnomes...and brought down the wrath of Karen LOL
Even if you knew a lot of people really well, you could be given a SS that you do not know so it doesn't matter at all and hopefully (if Jan learns to stop bringing them up
) the gnomes will not be making a comeback this year

Ya know what, I was playing with my sims game yesterday and I had never gotten the woodworking bench thing and guess what, It makes gnomes! So I'm starting a little army of them! My little sim person who's been making them, her name is Orangaline Kiwi, she likes them!
