As you know I took in these two orphaned kittens and they were right at 2 pounds at 12 weeks old, according to the vet. I could not find a weight chart to state what a 12 week old kitten should weigh, but found one that stated a 5 week old kitten should weight 2 pounds so I feel they are under weight and their shots hit them hard.
Anyway here is what I am feeding them. Canned food probably at least or a little more than 2 of the flat cans a day not the tiny ones but the regular flat cans or pouches, and about 3/4-1 cup of dry food a day. They have put on 6 ounces this week. But I feel like every time I turn around they are wanting to eat. Seriously at least every 2-3 hours. I did not restrict the wet food as I feel they are underweight, but is this too much for little kittens to eat? Is there a limit to how much I should feed them, especially considering they are underweight? I have been supplementing with KMR too, as they love it.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Mickee
