Two Years ago-what were YOU doing

Two years ago, I was going through some heavy duty treatment for Bi-Polar Disorder, and the treatment that I was going through impacted my short term memory. I can only remember pieces of what was going on. Sometimes it comes back, and sometimes people have to tell me what happened. I feel so much better now that loosing that time was worth it. So it may sound sad, but if I didn't go through that I wouldn't be here today.

I'm sorry you had to go through that My depression has had an effect on my memory.

Two years ago I was at the same job, with the same guy, doing basically the same stuff? How boring!

Fourteen years ago I was 12, and I was probably getting ready to go back to school.

I have a poor memory of events of my life though, although I can memorize other stuff easily. I think it's some defense mechanism. Sometimes though I'll suddenly remember snippets of things and it freaks me out!

I remember some but not all

Two years ago from this very minute I was doing pretty much the same thing I'm doing just now...sitting in a hotel room in Canada recovering from a very, very busy week of working to handle all the arrangements from a Board meeting and getting ready to fly home the next morning. (Except I'd have been in Quebec instead of Vancouver.) At home Pat and I and our three furkids were settling into our new house.

Fourteen years ago I was working at a job I hated and thinking about leaving it. (In a couple weeks I'd be laid off and I'd go on to get a job at the association where I work now.) Pat and I were settling into living together, and I was trying to deal with the death of my cousin and friend who had been suffering from AIDS.

Two years ago from now...Jason and I were getting our last few details on our wedding done!! Since our wedding was in October 2 years ago!!

With the exception of memories I've spent years trying to block, yes, I remember it all, 2 years ago, 14 years ago, and well beyond, in excruciating detail.

Two years ago I was moving into a dorm, or within days of doing so.

Fourteen years ago I was... 7. So I was almost definitely at the pool. Or in my sandbox.

Two years ago I was learning how to be happy again. I graduated high school, FINALLY dumped my abusive stalker boyfriend, dated a couple of friends, started dating my current bf, got into a long distance relationship, and started college. It was a big year.
fourteen years ago I was 6. All I remember is a couple flashes of being homeschooled, and getting a nintendo for the first time. sweet, sweet video games.

However, the inbetween time I don't remember so well. From ages 12-19 I was being treated, similarly to an above poster, for bi-polar and depression, along with other issues stemming from parental abuse early in life and sexual/physical/emotional abuse in high school. I'm one messed up cookie! but I'm doing fabulously now and I wouldn't change a thing in my past, or I wouldn't be where I am today!

hmmm let's see..

2 years ago my ex and I were just recently back together after our first break up (lasted 1 month). I would be working and then going home, and calling him in the evening. I would make dinner and sit and watch tv while talking to him on the phone all night. If I wasn't doing that, then I was going over to Brad and Brianne's (now broken up too!) for dinner and probably watch a movie. Maybe going for a walk/jog in the nice sunshine. Pretty boring.

14 years ago I would have been 7 and well... I can't remember that far back ha ha!

That was sooooooooooo long ago but not so long at the same time lol
I remember though I was sitting at work doing the same thing im doing now lol
