Has anyone used or heard anything about these natural products for helping UTI problems? My cat keeps getting them and I am trying to find natural ways of treating it.

I heard that cranberry extract works well. But how about a brand of food with cranberry as an ingredient? Such as Chicken Soup for the cat lovers soul or Premium Edge (which I currently feed them), they both contain cranberry powder, is that the same thing?

I know low magnesium is really important too right? Premium Edge contains 0.1% Mag but I don't know about Chicken Soup.

I am going to try to feed her more wet food on a regular basis and cut back on the dry as well. Has anyone here used cranberry. I have read a lot about it but I want to know if any of you have specifically used it on your own cat.

I gave my Rambo cranberry extract during his UTI, and I am going to try (once things foster-wise quiet down), to get him on a couple of drops of it daily in his wet food. I was also told adding a few drops of apple-cider vinegar to their water will help prevent uti.

mine eat chicken soup, & have for a few years now...right now Pixel is sick with something that may be a UTI...they were unable to get a sample, so we're treating with antibiotics just based on behavior [she peed on me intentionally]. this would be her first - she's almost 9. none of the others have ever had one - Java's 1.5, Cable's 2... Chip's been with me about 6 months. but i don't know if it's the cranberry that's keeping them healthy, or if they're just not prone to UTIs - i think some cats, like some people, are more likely to develop UTIs than others.
