I found these recently and managed to get them scanned and online.
This is my little Misty. She was a purebred Lilac Point Burmese I got when I was 12 or 13. I saved all my birthday and christmas money so I could get her and she was just wonderful. She would play and play and play and as soon as I picked her up she would snuggle into my arms.
She was always "my" cat and would sleep on my bed and love to cuddle on my lap. One night it was really stormy and rainy, and I was going to a friends birthday party, and she hadn't come in before I left. She didn't turn up the next morning either... We went doorknocking through the entire neighbourhood, and then a week later, a man down the road came knocking on our door... He'd noticed a smell under his house, and discovered it was a decomposing kitty that matched Misty's description. Mum went to ID her, and yes it was her. There was no way to tell what happeend, but we assume she got hit by a car. We were all so heartbroken - she was only about a year old...
And this is Bonnie (tabby boy) and Coco (Oriental girl) snuggled up with Misty. They all adored each other, and despite the fact there was 3 of us, you would either end up with no cats in your lap, or 3 cats in your lap.... until a fight would break up, and they'd separate, then come back again...
Bonnie and Coco are still going strong - Bonnie is about 16 now, and Coco is 15 1/2. They still live with mum. Coco's going very grey now, which is cute
