4 1/2 day work week!!!

woo hoo! 45 minutes to go before quitting time!!! Does anyone else here work 4 1/2 day work weeks? 4 9-hour days and 1 4-hour day on Friday. i love this schedule. It's almost like having a 3 day weekend every week.

I would love that too! Some other departments in my agency have that option, but we don't because we have a hotline and have to be open certain hours.

I'd love to do that. I only work a 35 hour week but I can't work it over 4 or 4 and a half days although I do work flexi time so can take off a half day every other week (or 1 day every 4 weeks) Would still prefer a regular shorter week though.

I wish! I have to be here 7:30 to 4 monday through Firday. No option of flex-time for me!

As it is the summer and I have no interns, I do, in fact I am working from home today , but once September hits, Friday is my busiest day.

hmmmmm, I don't think I could handle the 4 10-hour work days. Although it would be nice, that would mean that I'd have to wake up 1/2 hour earlier in order to get to work 1/2 hour earlier (and work 1/2 hour later) each day. As it is, I wake up at 4:15 M-F. I wouldn't like the idea of waking up at 3:45

that would be great!!! I don't understand why we don't do it here either, we're production, so it shouldn't matter if we do 200 pieces over 5 days or 4 days to me

I'm on that schedule of 4 1/2 days/week. I LOVE it! I don't know how I'd go back to a full 5 after keeping this schedule for almost 5 years now. It is like having a 3-day weekend every week, and it's perfect for making appointments so you don't have to miss work. My only problem is that I find it is hard to get myself motivated with only working 4 hours on Fridays, especially if I'm either not too busy at work or have something more important that afternoon.

envy! I admittedly have a 25 hour work week but Friday is my long day
I work until 6 tonight.
