Just got a new kitten 2 days ago (stray) and today a dog picked him up at the back of the neck.

He meowed loudly and then ran away. I got him and since this he has been doing nothing but sleeping. He has drank water but wont eat, he walked a very little yet mostly sleeps.

I checked him all over and he does not act as though in pain when touched anywhere, but will cry out when picked up under his front arms.

Also there feels as though there is a spongey or bubbley feeling around his ribs and lower right stomach. I dont know if this was there before or not.

Please offer any advice you can.

yes he has urinated twice and deficated once.
im just worried about the bubble feeling under his skin. Its almost
like when you rub along his ribs it feels like little air bubbles and it also has that feeling down on the left side of his stomach area.

Thank you '

if you're concerned, & the kitten is in pain, you should take him to the vet. that definitely does not sound normal.

Are there any puncture wounds? I would be worried about a punctured lung, maybe from the dog's tooth or a broken rib?? Is he having any trouble breathing?? He should definitely be seen by a vet asap!

Is he having trouble breathing? It sounds like he might have something wrong with his lungs, like a collapsed lung from a fall or trauma.... if cats can get that.

Yup, that can happen to cats.

I would also highly suggest to the OP that the cat sees a vet soon where they can also do a good physical on him (and check his temp too).
