I picked Gretta up from the new vet's today (her spay was the first time I have taken a pet there-had a certificate
) and she appears to be happy to be home, in little or no pain (still a little slow getting around, but not as much as I expected) and only has a little ONE INCH scar with the internal stitches- no worrying about her messing with them and having one come out (been there...
) - I haven't had a cat fixed in over 6 years, so I am thrilled that this has gone so well!

I am so glad to hear little Gretta is doing so well!
You can breath a big sigh of relief now Mom. I remember how worried I was when I dropped Dori off

She's asleep now
. Yes, it is good to have her home and be so relieved that it went well. I am thinking of using the same vet to spay my dog if her cardiologist says she can be spayed (genetic heart defect). My current vet only takes one certificate-from animal control- and they are out of them until at least Oct. That's how I ended up at this vet-and I put up ANOTHER flyer there to try to find Gretta a home. We'll see
!

That is fantastic !!! The internal stitches are a great benefit, too ! I had issue after issue with Laura pulling stitches then staples, so I know how hectic that can be. Heres hoping to continued healing
