Hey just thought I would update everyone on here about my pregnancy.............The Dr. tried to hear the heartbeat...she would catch him for a couple beats and then he was gone.....She told me that I have a rough road ahead of me that he's a real active lil one. But since she didn't get to hear the heartbeat she got me in for a STAT ultrasound just to make sure it was beating correctly. I was also told that I have a UTI which I still have no symptoms of.....I ended up getting a script for blood preasure meds and meds for my UTI. Then went next door to my work and got an ultrasound....this time it was on top of the belly instead of the vaginal one. Once the exam started the tech tells me......Yup he's an active one! won't stop moving!! but he finally calmed down and just laid there like a good baby.....Heartbeat was at 146 BPM, and measuring out to be 14 weeks 1 day, 2 days ahead of what I really am....During the Ultrasound I was shown that I was already having Braxton hicks contractions......I'm not to sure how to take that.....isn't it way to early for that???? I guess I sit and wait and see what Dr. says. And I can now say that I have a thumb sucker!! after the medical part of the exam the tech turned the screen to show all the pictures and low and behold right after she snapped a picture the thumb went to the mouth......It was so Amazing to see the lil one!!!!

Also Sunday I was just laying around with SO and I felt a fish flop in my pelvis area!!! it was a feeling I had never felt in my life........so I'm thinking for sure it was the baby!!! it was AWESOME!!!!!

Anyway that's my baby update for those of you who were there for me at the start of this whole thing.

Woot! Yay I am so glad the little one is doing so very well.
I just love watching them sucking thumbs on an ultrasound, it is just so darn cute. And the little flip flops are just the best.
Of course close to the end it just feels like they are gonna break your ribs but still loved it

Oh and I think you are in the right time for Braxton Hicks to start, I freaked out when I was told that it actually already starts at six weeks. But as long as it isn't painful you have nothing to worry about.

That is soo cool! my sister is having a baby in september and she is a thumb sucker too. When they were doing the 4d ultrasound she kept licking her arm. Its so amazing to know they can do all this while still in the womb!

just seeing it made my eyes well up with tears....to think that little thing is inside of me just amazes me!!! Then to think that the flop I felt was that baby and then to see the baby suck it's thumb......man!!!!

So far my SO and I have only picked out a girls name and are still working on a boys name........so for a girl she will be Cheyana Rayn and so far we only have Robert for the middle name on the boy. I've been thinking something like Seth Robert or Skyler Robert....But SO doesn't like Seth and hasn't voiced an opinion about Skyler yet.

How exciting! Ultrasounds are a blessing and a curse, IMO. For my last pregnancy, at one point it looked like baby's heart wasn't developing properly. Scared me so much, but a higher resolution US showed he was just fine. He will be seven in a few weeks!

Please keep updating us as your pregnancy progresses. It is just so exciting...14 weeks is still really early, and I am amazed that baby is sucking his/her thumb already!

Cindy---- wow funny I just came on to get an update on you and there was one! I am still so happy for you! braxton hicks can start early and dont' always mean anything. as long as they don't get painful, but if they do call your Dr. right away. there are plenty of meds to stop it and also other things (bedrest). for my last daughter I wanted her middle name to be either Rayn (Rayne or Rain), or Sky (skye) but my hubby didn't like either.
LOL I had also thought of Skylar for her to see if he liked that but didnt' really go with her name as well as the others. he was ok with Rayn, but then I found Faith and that fit perfect for her middle name.

Oh and for a boy Robert would have been our sons middle name. LOL But we had 2 girls.

I just can't wait until I can feel the little one all the time........I know I say that now but when it starts to happen I will be talking a different story!

I woke up this morning and it was almost as if I grew over nite......atleast that's what it seems like.....My belly was sticking out way more then it has been.....even had people at work comment about it........I'm normally a big girl so to have people notice my belly isn't just flabby anymore is pretty cool! but the fact that I still just look like I'm fat bugs me........sometimes people are shocked when they find out I'm only 14 weeks along because my bloating is so bad that you would guess I was at least 8 months! Still can't wait till I get the baby belly tho!!

LOL that's too funny!!! That's also the reason why I had to come and update here......wanted to make sure that you knew that things were still going pretty good!! I didn't even know I was having the braxton hicks....of course I didn't have a clue as to what they felt like and still really don't. I have a feeling by the time I get into my 3rd trimester I will be on bedrest......with my High blood pressure, my swelling ankles and hands which had started at about 9 weeks. I'm praying that it doesn't happen and doing everything lil thing my Dr's told me to do but the meds aren't really controling my BP well at least not in my eyes it's not.

The girls name was easy....I guess mainly because I've always wanted boys......But the boys name could have been easy too if I didn't have to make sure SO liked it too. I've got a million boys names picked out but he doesn't like any of them. so we are trying to comprimise but we are both very stubborn. so we will see we have to agree on something sometime!!! At least his first choice of Dallas was thrown out!!! THANK GOD!!!! I HATE that name but he was very addamit about having it...until he remembered that his youngest Nephew's middle name was Dallas.
We are trying so hard to come up with a name that isn't common.....Hence my Cheyana instead of the over used Cheyenne and Rayn which I still haven't met a child with that in their name........Only time will tell on the boys name......and maybe we won't even need one!! lol God I hope I do need it!!! Gee can you tell I'm hoping it's a boy?? Ok anyway I've babbled enough!!
