Firstly, well done to the intelligence services for the work that they have done to foil these proposed attacks on us and our allies.........

Its is so sad...just brings back horrible memories of 9/11 and 7/7 in the UK.

An instant reaction was 'no hand luggage and sanitary products need to be unboxed in a clear plastic carrier...no way'. But these strict restrictions on people travelling nevertheless required. How else can airport security do their job?

Its caused chaos over here....right in the middle of summer holiday season. But am I relieved these terrorists evil plans were foiled.

as zissou mom said, the AFB, cleveland has nasa research, there is ohio, HQ for one of the world largest chemical companies, there are tanks at the site i used to work out, that if you blow them up, you would kill 100's if not 1,000 of people. THe air traffic controll center for half the US is in northern ohio, could you see the issue if they took that place out .,

at the chemical plant last year they busted 3 arab men in a white van accross the street taking pics of the plant. since then, they have had several funny thing happen, all have been with arab men most out of detroit. a few weeks ago, they had a arab guy who just happen to walk in off the street at 2am , and was just lost inside the plant!!!

Yes i am not saying the name of the company.. but they now have armed guards, working there 24/7(took the company long enough to make the choice) i used to carry a handgun in my laptop bag. most of the time, there was only me, one plant guy and 1 70 year old guard at night. maybe i was wrong for taking the handgun to work, but i plan on going home to my family. i really felt the company was being to slow in trying to upgrade there security.

i am glad my contract run out, and i am no longer working there.

I wouldn't be in the least afraid to fly today or any day in this country.
My parents are flying tomorrow.
I think they are doing a great job of keeping us safe.

This whole situation is so scary. I'm glad they took the steps they did, and I'm happy to turn on the tv today and see more talk about what they're doing.
