So today when i was shopping for some groceries i got a call on my cell from the bartlett animal shelter. I of course thought they were calling to tell me that Harley had found a home..(he has been swooning all of the ladies up at the shelter since Sat. lol, i went to visit him yesterday and he had run of the ENTIRE office- can we say spoiled!
) well, the call had nothing to do with Harley. They told me that some good samaritan had brought in 3 litte kittens that they had found by a storage shed. 2 boys were there and they say them trying to hurt the kittens so the good samaritans shoowed them away and took the kittens to the shelter. We think the boys killed the momma
. That makes me soo sad- people really need to teach their children from an early age that animals are to be treated with respect!
I hope Colin finds them and takes them to Juvie Hall! (he's a cop). So anyways, i checked out as fast as i could and high-tailed it all the way to the other side of town to pick up the kittens. There is 3 of them. They look to be about a week and 1/2 to two weeks ....eyes are just now opening, and they are solid black with little white specks- they're prescious babies! The largest two weigh almost 6 oz. and the smallest weighs 5 1/2oz. The largest kitten is nursing on it's own from the bottle which is really encouraging...i'm having to work with the other two but they're doing well. I'm still a bit concerned about the runt, but i think he will pull through
. I'm taking really good care of them, so hopefully they will all make it.
. The largest two are starting to run around everywhere in their carrier...the smallest one isn't moving too much but i've been giving it extra liquids so it should perk up soon- it's already looking better than it was earlier
. Wish me luck with these 3 little angels! I will post pictures of them later...my main priority at the moment is keeping them warm and not photographing them. Soon as they show some improvement i'll post some pics- they're cuties! I'm pretty sure it's 3 boys but it's still a bit soon to tell accurately. I'm open to name suggestions
