Happy Gotcha Day JinJin!

One year ago today, a friend and I went to try to trap a pregnant cat that my coworker said was in her yard. We found her, very pregnant, skinny, and competing against a skunk for the rights to a shed. We set the trap. She was in it within minutes.

We put her in my bathroom...she flew around that room like she was auditioning for The Matrix. Five days later she gave birth to five kittens. I fostered all of them, and they all found their forever homes.

I continued to socialize JinJin, who has shown herself to be brave, smart, funny, and sweet. Just like the beautiful siggy that Karen (abbysmom) made me says, she went from feral to family. She's my girl now, and we celebrate her one year Gotcha Day!

Congratulations to you both for coming into eachothers life one year ago today!

It just doesn't seem like a year, but I look at how far she's come, and I know it must be that long. I can't wait to see the changes another year will bring for her!

Kelly, I know you have already, and do every day - but enjoy every day with this precious girl. Gaining the trust of a feral is a gift, and one to cherish every day.
