Was this a coincidence or intentional behavior?

I SWEAR I am not making this up!!

I am forever making kiss-kiss-kiss sounds at my kitties.
I kiss-kiss-kiss them when I am holding them, when I walk past them on a cat tree, or from across the room

So last night I was sitting on the sofa with Renfield (as always) sitting next to me. I looked over at him and did my kiss-kiss-kiss, and I kid you not he cocked his little head sideways, and opened and shut his mouth three times!!

I nearly had a stroke.
What are the chances of this happening at random?
Better still- what are the chances he did it on purpose?

He was looking me right in the eye, and the way he cocked his little head to one side was like he was trying to actually do the mouth movement right back at me :

So which is it? A coincidence, he loves me back, he had muscle spasms, or I'm just way too nuts about this cat??

I say its possible he was immitating you. Cats are very smart! Even if he wasn't I would say he was cause that is just too cute!

I think he was imitating the way you blow kisses at him. He is such a handsome boy, I would love it if he made kissy faces to me!

Well I just spent close to an hour making kissy faces at him again, and nothing happened.

I think he is messing with me

I voted that he did it and you are way too crazy in love with your kitty, because we are all way too crazy in love with our furbabies.

You know things like that they will only do when they feel inclined, not when we want them too.

Cats do that!

I think he was imitating you, but won't ever admit it. They're devious little devils -- part of the reason we love them so, I think.
