This one was perfect for us!!!

Do you prefer cats or dogs? Also, do you think your city should be able to say how many cats/dogs you can have in one household?

hmmmm, lemme think for a minute
I'll go with cats I guess
and no a city shouldn't, as long as your residence doesn't stink up the neighborhood and your pets aren't a nuisance than you s/b able to have as many as you want! I hope Medina doesn't have an animal ordinance

Cats of course!!!

Yeah I think there should be a limit...because not everyone is capable of taking care of numerous animals....

in a pile of open toed shoes!
ummmm, cats. I do love dogs too though... but on my profile I put "totally reformed dog person"
....

and I agree with Brandi, "as many as you can properly care for". I think there should only be an intervention if it becomes problem to your neighbors (like smells or cat collecting), if it's an unhealthy environment for the cat, or the person has been proven incapable of taking care of the animal. Inwhich case they shouldn't be allowed to have any.

I actually have no preference (please, don't tell the kitties!).
I do not think the numbers of cats should be regulated, as long as they are happy, healthy and not creating a health hazard.

With dogs it's a bit different, they actually require room to excercise and mark territory, so I think it depends on breed and the size of your fenced yard.

I prefer cats, and I think limits on pets are virtually unenforceable unless a person has more than 20. I have five cats in a city that only allows four but who is gonna give me trouble?

!!!!! I just love their independent spirits.

Although I love dogs, too...I don't have a lifestyle that would allow me to give one the care it deserves, though.

I don't think the city should be allowed to put limits on the number of pets you can have. BUT I do think they should be able to put limits on the conditions they're kept in. (If it's so overcrowded it's unhealthy, it's too many animals.)

Cats, I'm not really a dog person. I don't like how they are always barking. Our 2 dogs have got to be the worst. One jumps on the back of your knees and the other one sticks her head between your legs and they bark every time you make any noise or go near them.

I think there shouldn't be limits on how many pets you can have as long as you can care for them. My parents live in a town that will only allow you to have 3 cats, but you can have as many dogs as you want and that just seems weird to me.

cats!
but theres nothing wrong with dogs!

I think there should be a limit on how many pets you can have in your home.
maybe depening upon sq ft. To often you see people running kitty mills in there homes..laws should be enforced in cases in which conditions are not sutable for living.

I think that you should be allowed to own the number of animals you can properly care for and no more. I have a co worker that has WAY to many animals and she can't care for them so they just die off one by one. How sick is that?
