my cat has discovered that she can unravel the entire toilet paper roll. i tried flipping it over so that she couldn't just bat at it but once she got it started it was pretty much a lost cause. anyone have any quick tricks for keeping her from doing this?

You can get those auto stop kind that only goes around 1/2 a turn at a time. It's a pain in the butt (no pun intended, LOL), but it would stop her from unravelling the roll. You might also try just leaving the roll on the back of the tank instead. Eventually she will forget about this little trick and you can then go back to using the dispenser again.

I have to keep mine up on the towel rack, and she even still gets at it: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95107

Get one of those smaller kleenex boxes, like the square ones for the car, after you use the tissues cut the top off, put the tp roll inside, and keep it on the tank.

There are special things they make to hold it, including tp rolls with spring-loaded things that cover the top/front half. Those might be worth trying to. I saw them on ebay before.

My Mom bought me this at a craft store. It works out well; because it can sit on top of the toilet, and both of my boys can't get it open... yet. The only down side is that if I have a guest, I have to explain where the toilet paper is.
