Im really upset at the moment,so this might turn into a rant!!!A person i know has sold some of her kittens they are so tiny they are only 5 weeks old,she said its okay because they are eating!!I think its wrong and far to soon its really shook me up maybe im over reacting i dont know but shes also selling them for £100 each seems she just wants the money. Also she lied to people and told them they are pedigree cross bengals when they are ordinary tabbys!!!

That is pretty bad... I have to admit though we got Cosmo when he was 6 weeks my husband kind of suprised me cause his assistant at work her cat had kittens and I was a little nervous about the fact that he was so young..but shortly after I checked him over I realized it was a good thing we had gotten him.

He was COVERED in fleas the poor thing had flea poop and dried blood on him from the fleas biting him so bad. I really shudder to think what kind of state he would have been in had we not taken him then. Plus he had Zoe to show him how to be a cat haha she started cleaning his butt the first day they met after he got the green light from the vets.
So maybe you can kind of think that perhaps those kittens are in a way better off being with other people who really want them rather than a woman like that. I know it's still horrible for them to be taken away so early but I'm just trying to look at the glass half full here lol. As far as her selling them and passing them off as bengals though that's so horrible. I hate how people use animals to make money..it's so evil. People are so irresponsable with their pets. Well let's just hope that Karma comes creeping her way

These poor kittens! They still need their mum's milk and love now and they need to be trained by their mum (e.g. litter, discipline, socialisation). 5 weeks is tiny!

This is very sad and I wonder how healthy and socialised they will turn out to be?

What concerns me is where these kittens are going. Any good cat owner knows that you don't take a kitten from its mum at the tender age of 5 weeks, unless it is a health emergency to do with the mum cat or kitten. If someone wants a 5 week old kitten...what kind of cat owner are they?

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I just have to say (and I posted this in another thread) that my parents just got a kitten from their vet and it was only five weeks old as well. I told my parents to find a new vet.

5 weeks is better than 4 weeks, and usually people sell their kittens at 6 weeks, If she is telling people that its a pedigree cross Bengal, and these people believe her with out looking at proof they must be very stupid!

You should let your friend know that next time she does this, you will report her as scam.

Most people that would be going over there to see these cats are going to think or maybe even know they may be too tiny. ALSO..What's that price in America money? Because someone may notice the cats arent pure-bred.
Which by the way is a ridiculous thing to even THINK about telling the buyers of the cats. Someone could really put a lawsuit against her for lieing.
Can't you like tell this chic to NOT do that? I'd sure as heck be telling her EVERYTHING people are telling you on here.

Yikes, that's awful. I guess they prey on people who don't know any better.

Anyone hear of spaying kittens when they're six weeks old? I heard the pound does that when they adopt out kittens. I guess because they don't expect people to bring them in at six months for the procedure. Now THAT's barbaric!

When I was volunteering, a lady brought in three tiny 5 week-old black kittens. She said that she sold the 3 white siblings at 3 weeks old at a pet shop (the same petshop who got lots of violations).

I took in the kittens right away. I was concerned they would die because they were so tiny. Now they are kings of this household.
