How precious. Mom is beatifull too. Was she a small cat prior to being pregnant? Sunshine was petite before she got pregnant. So I was just curious about yours. I hear that small cats can have 4-5 kittens but it is so hard to believe. Do most cats get really big during their pregnancy? Way to go Bluebell

Yes Bluebell was a small cat, although her breed are well known for being large. She is still young, just a year old and her breed don't stop growing until they are 2 years. Her tummy looked lumpy during her last few days of pregnancy. I thought there was a lot of movement in her belly but never expected 6 kittens!! Her 5th one was deformed and died ( so upset), i thought that was the last one then number 6 popped out. I think we have 2 boys and 3 girls. 3 weighed in at 4oz, 1 @ 3.5oz and then the bruiser at 5 oz! Your cat is due isn't she?

Yeah she is due. I'm obsessed with her. I follow her around the house to see what she is up to. I just don't want to miss it. I noticed on her teat that it looked like she had some dried up milk so I squeezed her teat today and noticed she had some milk. I read from someone on this site that if you see some milk they will ususally give birth in 48 hours. It's funny, she loves to have her belly rubbed. She never let me do that before. I'm thinking it probably feels good. I can't wait. thanks for getting back to me. I will keep you all posted. I have to figure out how to post.

May I ask what breed she is? She's a lovely girl.

And her babies are very cute...they have such glossy healthy looking coats already! They'll be so much fun in the next few weeks!

I was gonna ask if Bluebell was a British SH cat, but I think the owner kinda answered that

Nice Brit too - I'm assuming that dad was also a brit? Are you planning on showing the kits?

Shame you have no papers on the cats/kittens. They might do something in the ring. Keep us posted with pictures as they grow

Aw!!! Momma is gorgeous... she reminds me of my Sneakers. She's an unfolded Scottish Fold, and you can tell they used BSHs in the breeding program.
