I have 3 male cats - Angel 4 yrs., Mac & Mickey (bros.) 3 yrs. Yesterday I brought Angel to the vet for vomit., diar., & straining. Vet said he was blocked & had to give him an emema. Brought him home. As of today he still does not want anything to do with me. Doesn't eat, drink, or move. Mac started hissing & growling at Mickey (whom he adores) & hasn't eaten anything all day. Mickey seems o.k. but hasn't been eating either. They've been keeping apart from one another & I haven't noticed any liter going. Does anyone know what might be going on with my boys?

Angel having gone to the vet now has a new smell on him. Its probablly upsetting Mac and Mickey because a "strange smelling cat" is in the house. I would separate the 3 for a few hours, taking a towel and rubbing the cats around the facial area and then rubbing it on the other cats, until the scent becomes familiar again. Hope your sick cat feels better now. They will get back to normal fairly quickly.

kind of like the domino effect!
I think once Angel starts feeling better again and his own smell gets back to normal, the other two kitties will follow suit and everything will be fine again. Because they don't understand what's wrong with Angel they react out of fear. I hope Angel feels better soon and all your boys can be happy again.

thanks for the replies. I will definetly try the towel thing. They still won't have anything to do with each other. They are eating tho', not much but eating. Mac hasn't left my room since Sunday. Angel is still straining but much more alert. The liter boxes haven't been used since this morning. Has anyone had a cat that's been blocked? or had an enema? I would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks.
