OK, after spending $550 on the pc, I finally got that back 3 weeks ago. Then, last week my modem went down and mediaone had to come and repair it. NOW, my damn moniter's picture tube is failing and I'm having difficulty even seeing what I'm writing. SO, if you don't see me much til' I can either get my pc friend to fix it, or buy a new one (which won't happen for a while, til' I recover from this vet bill and reimburse my cat site saviors). I swear, if its not one thing, its something else. Damn PC's!

Dear Chuck,
Hey, how's it going with that monitor? I'll be checking around in this store today, I see them all the time for nothin! I'll let you know...
Speaking of PC's...after bidding and paying s/h ,blah, blah, blah...my new lightening jet bolt, does everything but the dishes computer broke! Yeah! I can't believe it...so, I called the companyl...ya know how fast they are to sell one...just think the antithesis of trying to send it back for a new one...Anyway, I have a great friend that works on computers...THANK GOD! He's been a saviour...see, it's under warranty, but I would've still had to pay (again)
for s/h! So, I let him fix it and he installed about 500.00 or more worth of great programs too...I've been blessed...don't fear...we'll get you a monitor if you want it...I'll email you on it

Take care & God Bless You, Socs & Tig

Always,

Thanks Cat. I'm checking around too. My screen is sqeesed like }{, so its hard seeing everything. I'd really hate to see what would happen to the world if all the computers running it failed. We'd be back in the stone age I think.

Chuck:

I am reading your post, and I feel so bad!!!! I went through this about a year ago, where if it wasn't one damn thing, it was another. Any way I can help, let me know. We have several places with used and dirt cheap here in Tampa.

Dear Chuck,
Let me know if you're still looking for a monitor, my friend says he has a couple of 'em...so...
I hope this can help. Let me know what type of computer you have...I don't know how old these are. I have to take a look at them to see if they're not too old! LOL...But, he doesn't even know himself. I'm sure we can get one to do the trick..

Hugs & God's Blessing's to You & the Boys

Thank you all. I'm sure that, evenyually, everything will level out. I'm suprised I haven't thrown a tantrum over this run of downs. Maybe I'm just mellowing out as I get older. lol.

I'm still able to see well enough to post this message, but barely. I'm looking for a 17"-19" moniter w/ high resolution. It'll probably be a few weeks before I can get one, so hopefully this one will stay alive long enough.

Hey Chuck,

Got this Quote of the Day in an email. Thought it might help you hang on through the rough spots you've been going through lately.

"When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer."

Deb -- thanks for sharing that quote. I needed it today because for some reason I have been feeling very negative. Your quote helped me put things in perspective!

Hey Meghan and everyone:

I know a lot of you subscribe to emazing's cat tip of the day. If you scroll way down in their e-mail, past the b/s, they have a quote of the day everyday. That's where that one came from. I often find them to be insightful and just the right words at the right time. Regretting now that I haven't started a file of them.

I agree Debby. I have noticed that true cat people are the nicest, most giving people.

Thanks Gayef, the offer is much appreciated. This thing is (barely) clinging to life, which is why I haven't posted much as of late. If this thing should quit I'll take you up on the offer. But, hopefully, it will last me a few more weeks til' I can get a new moniter.

Well, the offer stands, and frankly you would be doing me a great favor by taking it as it is now simply collecting dust and I don't want to just toss it out like so much trash if someone could get any use from it at all!

If you can email me privately, I am happy to send my phone number - in case your monitor dies and you don't have email as a recourse...

Yours,

Gaye
