Fwan - I know exactly what you mean. It does have that autumnal feel about it - but when I think about it, it's still only average UK temperatures for us. Maybe it's just that we're noticing the difference from the very hot weather we had before.

That's lovely, Fran! I know what you're referring to when you can feel your life about to take a new direction. We could really use this now, please do send some our way!

Since it's hurricane season here and it rains everyday Jake will stick his nose up in the air and walk around like that sniffing. Maybe the seasons are changing but it's still HOT!

i haven't noticed it yet, but that's because fall comes late to San Francisco. June and most of July are chilly, August and September are our "summer". Come October though, there'll be a chill in the air, and it just smells different.

This summer seems to be going by fast, actually...

It sure is going by fast!, I've noticed the summer is fading too....the sun is starting to set earlier and earlier each night.

I wish I could feel a little of that autumn air. I love it. It is my favorite time of the year.
It is really nice this morning, though.

Me too! It has cooled off a little in the past day or so but it definitely still feels like summer. Autumn is my favorite- it can't come soon enough!

Autumn is absolutely my favorite time of year. I just love how beautiful the trees are when their leaves change color, and temp, and I LOVE the smell of burning leaves.

The only bummer is that school starts, and I once again have to educate my lovely children...but in all seriousness, I am looking forward to a new school year.

I love autumn, even though we don't get much of an autumn here in Los Angeles. I haven't noticed summer leaving, but I sure wish it would leave. I'm not a big fan of super hot temperatures. Bring on Autumn!

We're lucky enough to have four seasons here in Arkansas, but I can't say I feel the the fall air coming. Its just hot and humid. Fwan, I'm so gald you started this thread. I feel cooler just thinking about the fall air in Germany. We were in Kaiserslautern, so the climate was exactly the same as in Frankfurt, I'd imagine. I can't wait to go back and show my kids that beautiful country.

I haven't felt it here yet, Fwan, but I do know what you mean. It'll probably be another 2 or three weeks before that feeling hits...and it's...hmmm, the word that comes to mind is "bittersweet"...
