Today I went out to lunch with some people from my work. At the resturant I happened to run into my twin sister. She was with some people from her job. Towards the end of lunch I heard this loud scream and a loud bang. My first instinct was that someone dropped a bunch of dishes. Then people looked terrified. A huge piece of the ceiling fell. Out of all places it fell on a lady holding a new born baby!!!! It also hit my sister in the arm. We think most of the ceiling hit the lady and her other daughter, and not the baby. I think the baby just got a bunch of dust and dirt in its nose and mouth. The paramedics came and took the baby and the family to the hospital. I insisted that my sister get checked out, but she wouldn't hear of it. Her arm and back are really sore. I am still worried about that sweet little baby. People were freaking out over it. I was one of them. So, that was my bizarre afternoon.

Wow...that's just surreal! I'm so glad everyone is okay for the most part. I can't even imagine how startling that would be.

It was like a horrible nightmare. Who would have thought that a huge chunk of the ceiling would fall, especially on a baby?? One of my sister's friends saw the ceiling fall and she said that it fell in an odd way. When it was falling it turned in a way you wouldn't have expected it to. For the most part it fell on the baby's carrier. The mom was holding her baby. My sister's friend said it curved in such an odd way that it was like a guardian angel pushed it away to the side. Whatever the cause, it could have been much worse.

Oh my gosh, that's just bizarre! I'm glad that everyone is ok. I would nag your sis some more to get checked out.

Definitely get your sister to at least report it. If she has any ongoing problems with her back, she needs to have this on record.
