My last 3 foster babies just left for the shelter. I had to have someone else do it, I couldn't take them myself. This is one sad day.
I just have to keep thinking about all the positives...

As if I'm not sad enough...

Actually, their goal was to become no kill in 2005, but it wasn't able to.

They do have to put down cats in the summer, but not kittens. They wouldn't have invested their time in the foster program if they were going to kill the kittens.

The last 2 kittens I fostered were adopted the day after I gave them back. There aren't many kittens there now (they tend to be adopted first of course) so these guys will be adopted in no time.

1 of them was already adopted tonight by a friend of ours.

This shelter is also the shelter where I took all of my strays for "TNR"...

The best cure for missing foster kittens is.....MORE KITTENS! I'm sorry you are missing your babies...but go get more!
I've been doing this for 2-1/2 years, and while I miss the little darlings, there are always more needing a helping hand!

I foster kittens and adopt them right out of my home. In this way I rarely have them longer than two weeks, usually a lot less.

Would you be able to do something like that, in coordiation with another organization or person? You'd need to place ads, answer calls, give directions to your home, charge fees...that's about it.
