I was hoping to give the girls baths before I put their flea treatment on them this evening and was just wondering if I could put a little bit of baby powder on them when they dried to make them smell good? I know it might be toxic but does anyone here know if it is safe if I just use a little? THanks!!

Never use baby powder with talc in it - if you want to use some, make sure it is CORNSTARCH in the powder.

What kind of flea treatment are you putting on the cats that you need to bath them and put powder on them first?

In fact, I don't think the talc is all that good for humans either - we have a big container of cornstarch baby powder for everyone to use - pets/humans. I like it a lot better - keeps you drier and its safer for you too

The flea treatment doesn't need baby powder. I just thought it would make them smell better!! I am going by the vet's this afternoon to get some Revolution.

Once the Revolution dries, the smell goes away pretty quickly. I'm usually able to snuffle my Bijou within 24 hours after application.
