Ok i have to confess something.

couple of times i have been sick, did not feel like stopping at the store on the way home, so i hmm borrowed some Bathroom Tissue or toilet paper from work.
it does not fit very well in laptop bag,and i admit i was worried about being caught stealing(i mean borrowing) Butt paper(as my grandfather used to call it)

sooo am i alone or have others borrowed items from work, thinking to return them later

Ps yea i am very bored at work tonight, i need something to break,,,,

Um.... I've helped some of my fellow students (friends) cheat on a college exam by telling them what was on the exam before they took it.

Me too! Besides the fact that I would feel guilty because it's unfair, I also feel like they'd be annoyed, because I am when they ask me, even though I give in.

Umm, what do you mean you're planning on returning it later?

I once had a boss who made us buy our own toilet paper! That kind of treatment just makes you want to take stuff.

I can not lie....When I worked at a certain nursing home we would bag diapers and such in bags. Many times a roll of bags were left accidentally in my scrub pockets. Or air freshner.

I used to come home with silverware in my apron. And I seem to leave work with a lot of pens now...

Someone at work once took the whole assembly out of the cistern in the toilet at work because theirs was broken!
I am bad for pens (which I stick in my hair so i don't loose and 'forget' to take them out before I leave)

At least buying your own meant you could get the soft kind instead of the industrial "John Wayne" type that most places get!

I like to take handfuls of Wet-Naps from McDonald's or the gas station to keep in my purse!

Oh, and in my college days, we thought we were pretty cool when we'd make off with salt and pepper shakers from Happy Chef or Perkins...sometimes ashtrays too.

Once I had a birthday party to get to on a Friday night, and knew with traffic there wasn't enough time to stop at the store and get scotch tape (I didn't have any at home where the gift was), so I took a roll to wrap the present.

Oh, and years ago, hubby & his brother thought it was pretty awesome that Red Lobster has "corona beer bottles" as there salt & pepper shakers. So they were sticking them in my purse cause they "HAD to have them".

cheating on a test or two, yeah I'm guilty of that. But when it comes to taking items from my job, the fear of being caught keeps me from doing that. I know I would be absolutely MORTIFIED if all my co-workers, friends, family, etc. found out that I was fired for stealing toilet paper and/or trashbags. As lazy as I can be at times, a quick trip to the store far outweighs taking it from work and losing my job.

Things I have taken from work:

Toilet paper

Coffee (they come in single pot packages)

Tea bags (I don't drink tea but my BF does so I just figure I take a couple
here and there and that would be my fair share if I actually drank tea at work)

Hot Chocolate (same excuse as the tea except I bring it home for my kids)

Splenda packets

Scotch tape
paperclips
rubber bands
pens

I don't take items in abundance just a few here and there.

Okay I guess I am going to hell

I used to work for Elizabeth Arden....and didn't have to steal! Every week there was so much free stuff available for the staff... that I even felt bad taking it as I had plenty!

That was a great job!
