she hasnt had them yet

well she hsant had them yet? she is laying around the house, i do have a bed for her, but she messsed it up, lol

well when did you know that ur cat was prego? and what is ur cat doing? my cat is a calico? i heard that some breeds are stubborn? Is that one of them? oh and another thing, it says to check ur cats temp, and that will confirm on how closse she is? happen if you dont have a thrmometer

yeah! my cats a tabby... she seems to be being stubborn because we think she lost her mucous plug 2 days ago but nothing has happened since then.. shes just been really pacing around alot, acting weird... her tummy is definately ROCk hard, like she swallowed a football! haha
and her nipples are huge
yeah they're temperature goes down when they get closer to having the kittens, but I aslo do not have the proper thermometer

i'm sorry i'm not much help, but it sounds like our kitties are acting alot alike
maybe someone will have some answers for us

oh and we're not sure when she got pregnant beacuse she snuck outside a couple times within about a month, we arent sure which time did it

same here. my cat was always an out side cat, i never thought she would become a mom , she always hated other cats. But Suprise suprise, mine is now prego. Ya she has been acting like this since last night, her loss eating, clawing her bed, and now she is lying on my lap. Her tummy is hard as a rock, on both sides, but i dont know if she did loose her plug cuz they clean them selfs right away., Well i feel some thyoe of kick i guess on my lap.. i wish i had a temp so i could take it, but i dont have one, arnt there signs to tell if ur cat is having a fever? her ears feel warm.
we have to keep in touch to see if they have them on the same day. watch for anything and let me know so i know what to look for in my cat. thank you.

Some cats you wont notice the plug... so you may not i guess! thats what i've read anyway.. sometimes they dont give you any notice so at least we have a little bit of an idea i guess haha

it sounds like your cat is pretty close if she is digging around.. just keep an eye out for contractions now!

It would be nice to have a better idea of when they're due but what can you do? I'm concidering going out to buy a thermometer
I dont know if theres another way to see if they have a fever, I'll look it up though and let you know what i find!!

well thank you. WEll her ears are warm. This sucks cuz i am going camping till monday and i really hope i dont miss her birth. And how would i know what contractions look like? But man she is hudge?

well from what i've been told they start out looking like little hiccups
and then they'll look kind of like a wave rolling over her belly

then i guess as it gets closer to the end they'll be more obvious and look kinda like the skin is pulling down

one person said in a post that thier cat rolled around alot while she was having contractions.. like everytime she'd have one she'd roll over

Squeeze your tummy in and hold it a second and then imagine your cat doing the same thing. That is what a contraction will look like. That is more a pushing contraction. They will start out lighter than that.

that is cute i just hope she has them today.... i read that if you rub your cats back it may bring on labour??? well i guess time will wait. but her tummy looks like a BALL very hard.

Well more like you are contracting your abs, like for a sit-up. I guess I didn't make the distinction of a deep breath.

mines in labor too. Has been all night but nothing yet. BTW-the temp will go down to about 100 degrees it will not go up like your guys mentioned earlier in the thread.

If it drops and STAYS at that temp, then kitten should be born within 12-24 hours.

for Icis, i got sick of waiting on labor, so i layed down with her and rubbed her belly for a straight hour,maybe more. that night she did go into labor, like 10 hours later,lol
