Yesterday I started gathering up a load of towels for the wash, and I piled them up on my bathroom floor, waiting for my husband to get his shower that night to start the load. When Tom came home we had dinner, and then I went in the bathroom to pee. I see these 2 little black things on my pink tiled floor (yes pink, pepto pink to be exact
), apon closer examination they looked to me like spider legs. They had small reddish colored stripes on them. But I could see no spider. And LuckyGirl just sat in the door way and watched me. I asked her "did you kill a spider?" and she just Meow'd back.
Later that night I grab the towels and when I dropped a wash cloth I almost had a freaking heart attack. I screamed & jumped back when I saw this giant spider laying under my towels. I'm talking 2 inches long, and and inch in width. There was LuckyGirl standing in the doorway, happily admiring her kill! My husband came running cause of my scream and my mass exodus into the hallway, practically taking out the bathroom door. He was kind of proud of Lucky telling her she was a good girl, a good protector, and a good hunter. And of course she was beaming at the praise from her "daddy". So Tom had to pick it up (with tissue) and flush it. And LuckyGirl is my Hero!!!!
I had to look it up this morning, I was worried as to what it could be, and could it be poisonous. She didn't eat it, like she does with flies, so I thought maybe she got bit by it, and the spider ran for cover under my towels. They do bite, but it's just a spider bite... nothing to be worried over! Thank God!
