But I do believe you need to be certain age to use PM's. I'm not sure of the rule. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

I think you have to be a little older to send PM. I'm not sure but I think you have to be 18.

I wanted to pm abbysmom because i am suppose to be a young cat now.
about to be a adult cat.

You have to have a certain # of posts and be a member for a certain amount of time before you can be an Adult Cat. It's showing you're still a kitten

I'm pretty sure you have to be 18 to PM.

And don't you have to be a member for a full day before you can have "young cat" status? I remember wondering about the same things.

This thread gives the definitions of each of the Usergroups. One thing you may not have noticed is that not only does your post count figure in it, but also the length of time you've been a member. So you won't have the full privileges of a Young Cat until you have been 30 days in membership, even though you do have the required posts. Looks like you'll have your 100 posts for Adult Cat well before 30 days, too, but those privileges will likewise not come into effect until then. And so on...

However, none of that will have any effect on your access to the PM system. For the safety of minors, private means of contact are not available to members under the age of 18.
