I posted a bit about this in a previous thread. Savannah is a shelter foster, had a litter in early May, spayed end of June, was a stray until rescued by the shelter. I have an appt. for her Sunday to rule out medical issues.
Today I watched her get up from a nap, walk straight into my bedroom, right to the open closet, walked into it and peed on a sock that was at the bottom.
I have 4 litterboxes in this house. One of them would have been a shorter walk into the second bedroom. It's not like she got up and had an emergency. She seemed to be seeking out a spot on my clothes to pee. This is about the 5th time she's done this, either in clothes baskets, on throw rugs, a towel on the floor, ect. I have been trying to keep those things off of the floor, but I swear she was searching for a place to go. She knows where the litterboxes are, she poops in them.
I gave her a firm "no" and stuck her in the litterbox.
Has anyone had this problem before? I've never in all my years had a cat that didn't use the litterbox.
My fiance is going to make me take her back to the shelter!
Thanks, I'm off to finish reading the "peeing" thread!
