E-mail rant!

This isnt a techinical question or anything so figured that it would be ok to post it here.

I use hotmail as my main email account and have just noticed that it has added loads of random email address onto my contacts lists!
I think they probably came from forwards sent to me by friends or are people I havent spoken too in years but have somehow stuck in my address book.

Even when I delete people off it or block them they still stay on my list or manage to message me! its rather annoying!!

Just sent out invites to my birthday and have invited a whole host of people I didnt meant too as I had no idea they were on my contacts list!!

Thanks, I'll do that now. I've been meaning to join Gmail for ages but havent got round to it yet.

Hey, you guys with gmail....Can you use Thunderbird to read gmail or do you have to use gmail's website?

Is that the Mac companion to Firefox? If it is, yes you can. If it isn't then I'm not sure.

I dont understand why you have to invite someone to join gmail? Why cant you just sign up?

It's still a Beta version. Also, the guys from google are a bit odd like that.
